Horse Racing at Belmont Park

Belmont Park is a major Thoroughbred horse-racing facility and is home of the Belmont Stakes, just one of the three stops on the road to the Breeder's Cup. The 430-acre racing, training and barn complex racetrack is located in Elmont, New York and has a seating capacity of 32,941.

Racing at Belmont Park is conducted in two annual installments: The "spring-summer meeting," which usually begins on the second Wednesday in May and lasts through the fourth Sunday in July, followed by a "fall meeting" commencing on the Friday after Labor Day and ending the fourth Sunday in October.
