Horse Racing at Finger Lakes

Finger Lakes Race Track opened in 1962 as a thoroughbred horse race track. The facility hosts approximately 160 races from spring to fall, that included the notable New York Derby.

The Derby is the second leg of the Big Apple Triple for New York-bred 3-year-olds, which starts with the Mike Lee Handicap at Belmont Park in late June, and closes with the Albany Handicap at Saratoga in mid-August.
